Did you know the stock battery weighs in at 12 lbs? Its a porker!

Well, I got this great and tiny battery from an electronics store yesterday (DOW Electronics on Washington Blvd. in Los Angeles). It weighs 5.5 lbs, a dry cell 7.5amp 12vt battery for . . .  get this! $16.95!

Check out the size of this beauty. Sealed lead acid battery. No fuss, no mess! It even has space on the right for the emergency jump starter (see below). Now, it is only 7.5 amps vs 12 amps for the stock Yusa battery. But it still turns over the 748 engine (from cold) multiple times with ease.
Now, just in case I get stuck out there I have this palm sized emergency jump starter. I've replaced the cigarette lighter connector with a pair of insulated alligator clips.
