Glove Modification Ever find it difficult getting your gloves off - when you have gloves on?
A simple design modification that makes it easy under any condition

The idea here is to remove the tiny nylon soft and fuzzy loops so that a section of the flap is easy to grab with a gloved thumb and forefinger. | ![]() |
| This is the problem area. Nearly every glove I have seen has the entire flap surface covered with Velcro. Unfortunately, this makes it most difficult to lift when you have a glove on the other hand! | OK, let's fix that design "error." |
This is what you want to end up with. A flap on the end of the closure. Since this edge has no Velcro "grip", it is easy to grab with the glove on. |

| First, from the top of the flap, sew the section to remove the Velcro surface. I took a section of about 7/8 inch from my Teknic Carbons. Use the same color thread as your gloves (The white line illustrates direction only). | You'll now have to trim the "fuzz" from the area you just defined. As shown above, I am using the "side-burn" trimmer first. Trim it right up to the sew line. | Now, because you have just trimmed the major fuzz off, you can smooth out the surface to perfection with the shaver. That is all it takes. You now have a properly designed (read: ergonomically designed) glove closure. |
